Jerome Francis

My role within OMG involves recruiting new students and working closely with probation, YOT and referrers. I am a youth worker and mentor who helps to support young people from diverse and social economical backgrounds. I provide this support through 1:1 and group mentoring, assisting teachers & tutors within their lessons whilst also offering guidance on pathways which are best suited to the young people. I am best suited to offer this support as I have had previous experience of gangs and mislead communities and understand the trauma that comes from violence, crime and poverty. I now use this experience with the hope that I can change the mindset of the young people who may be involved or affected by their experiences through giving valuable advice and guidance.
